The heavyweight division is getting ready for some fresh faces. Teremoana Teremoana, a rising star from Campbelltown, just scored a quick first-round knockout against James Singh this weekend in Sydney.

With the current champions wrapping up their careers - Oleksandr Usyk announcing he's got two fights left, Anthony Joshua nearing the end according to his promoter Eddie Hearn, and Tyson Fury already retired - the division is wide open for new talent.

While fighters like Daniel Dubois, Agit Kabayel, and Joseph Parker are making waves, it's the 6'6" Pacific Islander Teremoana who's catching everyone's eye. He's got a perfect record of 7-0 with all wins coming by knockout.

Teremoana's not just a newcomer. He's got some serious credentials, including a gold medal at the 2023 Pacific Games and a quarter-final spot at the 2024 Olympics. He lost to Bakhodir Jalolov from Uzbekistan, who went on to grab the gold.

In his latest fight, Teremoana didn't waste any time. He dropped Singh, who had a 12-5 record, and unleashed a barrage of punches that forced the referee to step in and stop the fight in the first round.

Eddie Hearn, Teremoana's promoter from Matchroom, couldn't contain his excitement:

"The guy's got it all. Not only is he a future world heavyweight champion, he's one with charisma."

But Hearn also had some concerns about finding suitable opponents for Teremoana:

"We were hoping Singh might give him some rounds. It's so difficult to get quality heavyweights in this part of the world. Any Australian heavyweight with any kind of ambition is not fighting Teremoana anytime soon, so you're relying on bringing people in and we've got to get better than James Singh."

Matchroom Boxing shared the win on social media, tweeting: "Done in one ???? @Teremoana98 #TeremoanaSingh #KambososWyllie"

Teremoana's got his sights set on the Australian Heavyweight Title next. With his power and skill, he's definitely one to watch in the heavyweight division.
