Floyd Mayweather just added another gem to his car collection. The former boxing champ bought a rare Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport from a dealership in Beverly Hills.
Mayweather dropped around 4.2 million euros ($4.3 million) on this new ride. It's one of only 60 ever made, making it a pretty special purchase. The car even has Mayweather's lucky number 26 on the front grille.
When asked about his latest splurge, Mayweather simply said, "Old money never stops." That's his way of explaining why he keeps buying expensive cars.
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport isn't just any luxury car. It's got a massive 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine that pumps out 1,500 horsepower. This beast can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds. It'll hit 200 km/h in 5.5 seconds and 300 km/h in 11.9 seconds.
Bugatti made some changes to this model to make it even more impressive. They stiffened up the springs, added firmer dampers, and put in carbon fiber anti-roll bars. They also tweaked the diffuser and added a special rear wing.
Mayweather isn't the only celeb with this car. Soccer star Karim Benzema has one too. Bad Bunny used to own one but sold it.
The dealership, TBTFW in Beverly Hills, took the car off their website as soon as Mayweather bought it. They figured out the price based on similar models with very low mileage, around 1,000 km.
Mayweather didn't stop at just one car during his shopping trip. He also picked up a Cadillac Escalade and a Mercedes G-Class AMG while he was there.
This kind of spending spree isn't new for Mayweather. He's known for buying expensive things and showing them off on social media. With this latest purchase, he's once again proven that when it comes to luxury cars, he's still in a league of his own.
