Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) was unable to fully train with Eddie Reynoso and Team Canelo, and their paths parted before they even had one fight together.

"I was just about ready to go to training camp. I'm not going to lie, it was frustrating for me. I don't know what happened, maybe they thought I wasn't very focused on the job. I don't know if I did something wrong. Is it just me, or are they just focused on themselves? Whatever it is, I appreciate the time I spent with them and I believe this is not the end of the story," said the WBO bantamweight champion.

As a reminder, Lopez will face Arnold Barbosa Jr. (32-0, 11 KOs) in his third title defense on May 2 in New York City at Times Square.

Ryan Garcia also revealed a week earlier that his reunion with trainer and confidant Canelo Alvarez would be delayed due to circumstances. The situation may not have been helped by Alvarez's own May 3 fight in Riyadh against William Scull.
