Garcia told reporters he regrets what he said on social media. He admitted he was drunk and high on mushrooms when he posted those comments.

"We were drunk, high on mushrooms, and we just started living life and started saying anything. I ended up saying stupid things live. I regret and lament those actions, but that does not represent me as a person."

The boxer's year-long ban for testing positive for ostarine after his fight with Devin Haney is almost over. He's now focusing on getting his career and life back on track.

Garcia says he's working hard to change. He's going to therapy with his family and trying to clean up his act.

"I've been working with my family in therapy, I've been in the spotlight for a long time, I've been at the wrong parties, in the wrong scene. I didn't respect myself as an athlete, but that's why I'm giving myself the best chance to be the best version of Ryan Garcia."

The boxer has often found himself in hot water. He's known for speaking his mind and not keeping a low profile. These habits have sometimes taken his focus away from training and staying fit.

Garcia is now getting ready for his next fight. He'll face Rolly Romero on May 2 in Times Square, New York. He's promising fans an exciting match.

As he prepares for this fight, Garcia seems determined to show he's changed. He wants to prove he can be a better person and a better athlete. Only time will tell if he can keep his promises and stay out of trouble.
