Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach Jr fought to a majority decision draw on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in New York. The bout ended Davis' 30-fight winning streak, which included 28 knockouts.

Roach put on the performance of a lifetime against the WBA lightweight champion. The fight got fans talking, especially after a controversial moment in the ninth round. Davis took a knee after Roach landed a stiff jab, but referee Steve Willis didn't rule it as a knockdown. This decision left fans and pundits scratching their heads.

Legendary analyst and trainer Teddy Atlas thinks Roach should have won the fight. On his YouTube channel THE FIGHT, Atlas said:

Listen I'm not saying it wasn't a close fight, it was, but I think I'm gonna give it to Roach. I'd have to look at it again to be completely transparent, but I got to give it to Roach.

Atlas didn't hold back when discussing the controversial ninth round:

He took a knee. He got hit with a jab before that, that constitutes technically as a knock down. The referee blew it. The referee blew that. He blew that. That's a 10-8 round and he should be the champion right now.

The draw has left fans wanting more. Many are calling for a rematch between Davis and Roach, including Roach himself. If that doesn't happen, Roach might set his sights on WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson.

The majority decision draw has certainly shaken up the lightweight division. It'll be interesting to see what comes next for both fighters.
