Gervonta 'Tank' Davis kept his WBA Lightweight World Title in a close fight against Lamont Roach Jr. The match, which took place the previous night in Brooklyn, ended with a disputed decision that left many fans questioning the outcome.

The fight proved to be a tough test for Davis. He struggled to land his usual power shots, while Roach's performance got better as the rounds went on. This made for a competitive bout that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Things got really interesting in the ninth round. Davis took a knee after Roach landed a jab. Referee Steve Willis didn't call it a knockdown, a decision that could have changed the final result. Many people thought this was a big mistake.

When the judges' scores came in, one had it 115-113 for Davis, while the other two called it a draw at 114-114. This meant Davis kept his title, but not everyone agreed with the decision.

After the fight, Davis tried to explain what happened in the ninth round. He said:

"I got my hair done two days ago and she put grease in it. It burned my eyes. Why are you booing like this is bulls**t. It's real facts."

Despite the controversy, Davis seemed open to a rematch:

"Hopefully we can run it back for sure. Let's bring it back to New York and have the rematch for sure. I think I pulled it off with the last three rounds for sure. I was catching him with some clean shots."

He also added:

"I was breaking him down as the fight went on. I didn't want to make mistakes so I kept it cautious. He is a great fighter and has the skills. It was a lesson."

Ryan Garcia, who fought Davis earlier this year, shared his thoughts on social media. He believed Roach won the fight and called the referee's decision not to count the knockdown "the most wild thing I ever seen in boxing."

It's not clear yet if there will be a rematch. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks. One thing's for sure - this fight has got everyone talking, and fans will be eager to see what's next for both Davis and Roach.
