WBO super flyweight champion Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) will fight Arnold Barbosa (32-0, 10 KOs), holder of the World Boxing Organization interim title, on May 2 at Times Square in New York City.
For Lopez, it will be a return to the ring after more than a year off. In his last professional appearance, the 27-year-old defeated Steve Claggett on points. In his last ring appearance, Barbosa defeated Jack Catterall.
During the same night of boxing, fans will also see a fight between Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero, as well as former two-weight world champion Devin Haney and Jose Carlos Ramirez.
