Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are getting ready for a big fight on April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur's stadium in London. The bout was supposed to happen 2.5 years ago but got called off when Benn failed a drugs test. Now it's back on after Benn got cleared by the National Anti-Doping Panel.
Amir Khan, a former champion himself, is having a hard time picking a winner. He talked about it in an interview with talkSPORT Boxing.
"Conor is a tough fighter. You can't take your eye of Conor, he's got that power, that explosiveness, but then again if he hits Eubank with the same shot is he going to step back, is he going to go down, I don't think so."
The fight will be at middleweight, which means Benn's moving up from welterweight. Eubank Jr will have to follow a 10-pound rehydration rule on the morning of the fight.
Khan first thought Benn would win, but he's changed his mind. He now leans towards Eubank Jr, thinking skill might be the deciding factor.
"I think skill might win the fight. It's a hard one cause last time I think I said Conor Benn but I think now I think about the fight and it's more realistic that it's gonna happen, I do lean towards Eubank because I think skill will win this fight."
Eubank Jr's last few fights have been a mixed bag. He lost to Liam Smith by knockout, then won the rematch. His most recent fight was a stoppage win over Kamil Szeremeta last October.
Benn's been busy too, but not in the ring. He's fought to clear his name and has only had two fights recently. Late last year, he got the green light to fight in the UK again.
The fight's almost here, and there'll be a bunch of press conferences to make it official. It's a tough one to call, but that's what makes it so interesting.
