Terence Crawford and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez have agreed to face each other in a super-middleweight title fight. The bout will take place on September 13 in Las Vegas, with Crawford moving up two weight divisions to challenge for Canelo's unified world titles.

Crawford's team member, Bernie The Boxer, confirmed the date in a FightHype interview. He said:

"It's on, baby. September 13, baby. Look forward to it. Crawford versus Canelo. And this is how I said it, Crawford versus Canelo, you understand? Yeah, it's confirmed. Crawford versus Canelo, not the other way around. Team Crawford, stand up. Pound for pound the best in the world, soon to be the super-middleweight champ of the world."

The fight will happen on Mexican Independence Day Weekend, a date Canelo has often competed on throughout his career. Crawford will need to gain 14 pounds to make the super-middleweight limit, a division where Canelo has never lost.

Crawford's last fight was a world title winning debut at super-welterweight. He'll look to define his legacy by beating Canelo, who currently holds all four major belts at 168 lbs.

Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh is behind the production through Riyadh Season and Ring Magazine. Both fighters might have interim bouts in May before their September clash.

Crawford, Canelo, and Alalshikh met in London recently. They're expected to announce soon how the rest of the year will play out for them. The boxing world will surely be watching closely as this massive fight approaches.
