Oleksandr Usyk Drops Bombshell on Next Fight: "It's Time to Make History"

Usyk's career has been nothing short of spectacular. He turned pro after winning gold at the 2012 Olympics and quickly made his mark. First, he became the undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division. Then he moved up to heavyweight and grabbed three world titles from Anthony Joshua.

The southpaw fighter has been on a roll lately. He defended his titles against Dubois with a stoppage win. Then came two close battles with Tyson Fury. Usyk won both fights, going the distance for 24 rounds. His impressive performances earned him Ring Magazine's Fighter of the Year award for 2024.

Now, with a perfect 23-0 record, many think Usyk could hang up his gloves and walk into the Hall of Fame. But he's got other plans.

Frank Warren, a prominent boxing promoter, shared Usyk's next move:

"Oleksandr told me at the weekend he will fight the winner of Daniel v Joseph Parker to try to become undisputed heavyweight champion a second time."

The Dubois-Parker fight happens on February 22nd for the IBF heavyweight belt. If Usyk beats the winner, he'll make history again by becoming a two-time undisputed heavyweight champ.

It's clear Usyk isn't done yet. He's aiming for another big achievement in a career already full of them.
