Terence Crawford has broken his silence about reports of a big fight with Canelo Alvarez. The boxing world got excited when news came out that these two great fighters might face each other soon.

Crawford spoke up on social media, saying,

"Ima shock the world watch!!! The best is yet to come. I had it in my back pocket this whole time."

People started talking about this fight last year after Crawford beat Israil Madrimov. That win got Crawford the WBA super-welterweight title in August. But things didn't move forward right away because Canelo wasn't ready to talk about it then.

Canelo had his own fight to focus on. He faced Edgar Berlanga in September and won, keeping his WBC, WBA, and WBO super-middleweight titles.

Things changed over the weekend when Crawford and Canelo met with Saudi chief Turki Al-Alshikh. After that meeting, people started saying the big fight was on.

Crawford, known as "Bud," has been doing well lately. He became the undisputed welterweight champion by beating Errol Spence Jr. Then he moved up from 147lbs to 154lbs and has had one fight at that weight.

If this fight happens, Crawford will have to move up again to 168lbs. That's two weight classes higher than where he is now. A lot of people think it'll be hard for Crawford to win, but he seems confident.

Even Errol Spence Jr, who's been Crawford's rival for a long time, has something to say about how this fight might go.

We'll have to wait and see what happens next. But for now, it looks like we might get to see these two great boxers face off soon.
