Will Shaw be Wilder's opponent in his April return?

Stefan Shaw (20-2, 15 KOs) is, unofficially, the opponent of Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) in his return to the ring in April. Shaw, like Wilder's other recent opponent, Robert Helenius, has been a sparring partner of "The Bronze Bomber" in the past.

Potential opponents for Wilder's return in April also include former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who has made the transition to professional boxing with mixed results. A bout between Wilder and Ngannou could generate significant interest given both fighters' reputations for punching power.

The name of Wilder's opponent will be officially announced on Saturday during a press conference between the boxer and his manager Shelley Finkel in Los Angeles.
