Oleksandr Usyk Reveals Post-Fury Plans, Says "My Mission Is Not Over"

Seven months ago, Usyk beat Fury in a split decision win. The Ukrainian fighter won the WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF titles, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in over 20 years. Usyk even managed to drop Fury during their bout, handing the British boxer his first professional defeat.

Since then, the IBF belt has been vacated to allow for this contracted rematch. Daniel Dubois now holds that title.

Usyk has been on a roll, defeating all challengers that have come his way. He beat Dubois and scored back-to-back wins against Anthony Joshua in 2021 and 2022.

There's been talk about Usyk possibly retiring if he beats Fury again. But the champion shut down those rumors in an interview with The Stomping Ground.

"When I beat Tyson Fury, I want to continue boxing. I want to continue training. Maybe I rest three, four months then I will be back in the boxing gym."

If Fury manages to win this time around, we'll likely see these two heavyweights complete a trilogy in 2025.

Prince Naseem Hamed, the boxing commentator, has made a bold prediction about the fight. However, the details of his forecast weren't provided.

As fight night approaches, fans around the world are gearing up for what promises to be an epic clash between two of boxing's best heavyweights. The stage is set for another historic moment in the sport.
