Errol Spence Jr believes Floyd Mayweather is a better boxer than Terence Crawford. Spence, who has shared the ring with both fighters, made this claim in a recent interview with Fighthype.
Spence lost to Crawford in their undisputed welterweight title bout last year. He's also sparred with Mayweather in the past. This experience gives him a unique perspective on both fighters' abilities.
Crawford has made a name for himself as one of the best boxers today. He's won world titles in four weight classes and is the current WBA super-welterweight champion. He's also been undisputed champion at both 140lbs and 147lbs.
Mayweather, on the other hand, retired in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record. He won world titles in five divisions from super-featherweight to super-welterweight and was involved in some of boxing's biggest fights.
Despite Crawford's impressive resume, Spence thinks Mayweather is on another level. In his interview with Fighthype, Spence said:
"It's a big difference. Floyd is just different."
Spence went on to say that Mayweather might be the best fighter of all time. If not the best, Spence thinks he's definitely in the top two or three.

"We'd get in the clinch and he was like squeezing my nose so I couldn't breathe and stuff like that."
