Tommy Fury has pulled out of his fight against Darren Till, which was set for January 18, 2024, at Co-Op Live in Manchester. Fury claims he's backing out because Till threatened to use kicks if he fell behind on the scorecards.
Till doesn't agree with Fury's story. He says Fury's using this as an excuse to avoid the fight. Till took to social media to share his side of the story.
Tommy Fury u are the biggest sh**house I have ever met in my life do not ever call yourself a fighter again I was selling the fight to make me and you more money you absolute empty head.
Till claims he was building up the fight to make more money for both of them. He also says Fury was going to get knocked out and didn't need to worry about kicks.
Fighting family my as* you and ur dad sh**houses I don't need to throw kicks you was getting knocked spark out you divvy we was making bank on this fight cos of me not you.
The MMA fighter didn't stop there. He revealed that his team knew about Fury's decision to pull out since Sunday but didn't tell him right away. They were trying to get in touch with John Fury, Tommy's dad, but couldn't reach him.
I have only just found out that my team knew Tommy Fury was pulling out of the fight Sunday and didn't want to tell me cos they were trying to get John Fury on the phone but he's not answering calls apparently Tommy you was never ready for that date you crazy sh**house don't ever show ur face again!!!
Jake Paul, who lost to Fury in February 2023 in his only professional defeat, reacted to the news with a simple "Hahahaha" on social media.
Till seems ready to move on from Fury. He's even reaching out to Jake Paul, asking, "Jake Paul what are you upto you big fat dummy?"
The fight was organized by Misfits Boxing, and it's clear the fallout from this cancellation will continue for a while. We'll have to wait and see what happens next in this ongoing situation.
