Former world boxing champion Vyacheslav Senchenko said that he does not believe in the transition of 2024 Olympic champion Oleksandr Khizhnyak to the professionals.
"I don't think he's going to transfer. I haven't talked to him, but I have a feeling he's still going to qualify for his third Olympics. He's got a little bit different goals. I think he wants to be a two-time Olympic champion. He won silver at the first Olympics and gold at the second Olympics.
I think he wants to make history that way. I haven't heard any talk about the pros at all. I think there may be offers, but they're not publicized anywhere. At least, I haven't read or heard such information that someone somewhere is negotiating with him and he is moving to the pros," Senchenko said in an interview with the YouTube channel "Victor Yalymov's Boxing Studio".
