Mike Tyson thinks Tyson Fury will beat Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch if he takes the fight seriously. The two heavyweights are set to face off again on December 21 with three of the four major world titles on the line.
Usyk won their first fight in May by scorecard decision. The Ukrainian southpaw landed a big punch in the ninth round that sent Fury to the ropes, leading to a referee count. Fury's corner work during that fight left many confused.
Despite the criticism, Fury has said he'll keep the same team for the rematch.
In an interview with talkSPORT Boxing, Mike Tyson shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight:
"Hey listen, Usyk surprised everybody. I think Tyson Fury played around too much. I think he needs to be taking fights serious and hopefully he'll get a different result."
Usyk, an Olympic Gold medalist and former undisputed cruiserweight champion, remains undefeated after 22 professional fights. He's known for his technical skill in the ring.
Mike Tyson himself is preparing for a return to professional boxing after nearly 20 years. He's scheduled to fight Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, in the near future.
