Tyson Fury Discloses Secret Agreement with Top Heavyweight: "We're Destined to Clash"

Tyson Fury has let slip a secret agreement he made with Deontay Wilder back in 2007. The heavyweight rivals promised to face each other for the title one day, long before Fury even started his pro career.

Fury kicked off his professional journey in 2008. He climbed the ranks quickly, making a big splash in 2015 when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in Germany to become the unified world champion. But after that win, Fury stepped away from the ring to deal with mental health issues.

When he came back in 2018, Fury won two fights before squaring off against WBC champion Deontay Wilder. Their first fight ended in a draw, with Fury famously getting up from a knockdown in the 12th round. Fury went on to win their next two fights by stoppage, cementing his place at the top of the heavyweight division.

In a recent chat with 'Undisputed', Fury spilled the beans about his old pact with Wilder:

"From maybe 2007, me and Wilder had a pact together. We met in Sheffield at one of the boxing fights on Channel 5, and we always said that we'd talk up a good fight and have a good fight for the championship down the line."

Fury also shared his thoughts on Wilder's punching power:

"I'd see him hit people and legs would be shaking out cold on the floor. Terrifying knockouts. The highlight-reel knockouts that he had are up there with anybody's. If not the best highlight reel knockouts. You've seen him put some people to sleep."

Right now, Fury has got his hands full getting ready for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. Their first fight in May ended with Fury's first career loss. The two will battle it out again for the undisputed heavyweight crown.
