Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Terence Crawford might face off in a super-middleweight bout. People have talked about this potential mega-fight throughout the year, mainly because Crawford has shown interest in moving up in weight.

Crawford will need to jump up two weight classes for this fight. Canelo hasn't weighed less than 166lbs in over five years, which makes the weight difference a big deal.

Teofimo Lopez, who's been calling out Crawford, shared his thoughts on the potential match-up in a recent interview. He thinks the weight difference will play a major role and sees the fight as just a "money grab".

"Crawford had a hard time against Israil Madrimov. He showed a lot of flaws. That one year out of the competitive ring did some damage," Lopez said. "He won't outclass Canelo like he did with Errol Spence. He'll need to use all his prime ability, and the weight classes are different."

Lopez also pointed out that Crawford already has a strong legacy and might just want to cash out now.

It's worth noting that Canelo struggled when he moved up just one weight class to face Bivol. This suggests Crawford might have an even tougher time jumping up two classes.

Recently, Crawford decided not to pursue a unification bout with Sebastian Fundora. On the other hand, Canelo has said he'll listen to offers for the Crawford fight.

We'll have to wait and see if an offer comes through soon. If it does, it could lead to one of boxing's biggest showdowns in recent years.
