Daniel Dubois is ready for another go with Anthony Joshua. The IBF Heavyweight Champion knocked out Joshua last month and now says he's up for a rematch.
"If he wants it, I want it too," Dubois said, echoing his promoter Frank Warren's view that running it back is a no-brainer.
Dubois feels good about the idea. He thinks the first fight gave fans what they wanted to see.
"I feel like the AJ rematch is a positive step. Just the way the fight was. It was exciting, everything the fans wanted to see," he said.
At 27, Dubois is on a roll, taking on top opponents one after another. He's got big plans for his career.
"I'd love to become undisputed champion, collect all the belts and do it that way. Really reach the top of my game."
Right now, the other heavyweight belts are tied up in a rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. So Dubois is looking at what's next for him.
If the rematch with Joshua happens, Dubois wants to be even better this time.
"Without giving too much away, I think I'd be more up for it. More belief in myself. I was up for it, but more controlled, more speed. Everything."
Dubois proved too much for Joshua in their first encounter. Now, we're waiting to see if Joshua's team wants another shot. We could know as early as this week.
Frank Warren says Dubois will fight again in February next year. Whether that's against Joshua or someone else, we'll have to wait and see.
