Briggs named favorite for Usyk-Fury rematch

Former world heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs said he considers Oleksandr Usyk the favorite in his upcoming rematch with Tyson Fury.

"The first fight was very close, but I gave it to Usyk. I think he did his thing. I think the second fight will be great. Which way am I leaning towards? I'm favoring Usyk. This is a guy who doesn't drink, he doesn't walk around, he doesn't do anything but train.

Fury needs to punch more to the body. It's going to be a great fight. You can never discount Fury because you don't know how he's going to take the fight. Fury can get into a left-handed stance and apply pressure like he did in his second and third fights with Wilder. So you never know for sure," Briggs said in an interview with YouTube channel AB BOXING NEWS.

Recall that in May Usyk defeated Fury by split decision of judges (115-112, 114-113, 113-114). Their rematch will take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
