Mike Perry Gives Blunt Verdict on Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson: "Experience Trumps Youth"

None

Mike Tyson will step into the ring with Jake Paul on November 15 at the AT&T; arena in Texas. The legendary former heavyweight champion, now 58, will face the YouTube-turned-boxer in his first professional fight in over twenty years.

Netflix will broadcast the event live to its standard subscribers. The fight was originally set for July but got pushed back when Tyson had an ulcer flare-up.

Some fans and fighters have voiced concerns about Tyson's health, given the more than 30-year age gap between the two boxers.

Jake Paul didn't sit around waiting for Tyson. He recently took on former UFC star and Bare Knuckle champion Mike Perry. Paul won by TKO in the sixth round, scoring several knockdowns and making it look pretty easy.

After their fight, Perry joined Paul on his podcast. He shared his thoughts on the upcoming Tyson-Paul matchup.

"I think Jake wins. You're younger and I think you're doing the right things as far as what your team has you doing, it works. I wasn't able to add anything up on you, I wasn't able to have you punch yourself out, I wasn't able to get you on the ropes where I could release a flurry and at 58, Mike's age is something I'm thinking about. I think you get that win."

Perry pointed to Paul's youth, effective team strategy, and Tyson's age as key factors. He also noted his own inability to gain an advantage during their fight as evidence of Paul's skill.

The boxing world will be watching closely as this unique matchup unfolds. Will Tyson's experience trump Paul's youth, or will the age difference prove too much for the former champ?
