Ryan Garcia Reveals Boxing's Hottest Matchup, Leaves Fans Guessing: "It's Not Who You Think"

Garcia can't fight until April 2025. He got suspended after failing drug tests following his fight with Devin Haney. The New York State Athletic Commission banned him for a year and changed his win to a no contest.

Before the suspension, Garcia worried fans with his behavior during the Haney fight week. He missed weight by three pounds, making him ineligible for the title. Despite this, he dropped Haney three times and won by majority decision.

Now, while suspended, Garcia's looking ahead to big fights. He said:

"I believe the biggest fight in boxing is Davis vs Garcia 2. Prove me wrong?"

Garcia's claim is based on the success of their first fight. It made $22.8 million in ticket sales at the T-Mobile Arena. That ranks fifth in the highest-earning combat sport gates in Las Vegas history. The fight also sold 1.2 million pay-per-views in the US.

In that first fight, Davis dominated. He dropped Garcia in the second round and finished the fight with a body shot in the seventh. Garcia blamed the loss on an extreme weight cut and a contracted rehydration clause. He wants to fight Davis again under different circumstances.

Recently, Garcia posted on social media that he's "itching to get back in the ring" and promised to "bring the excitement back to boxing."

Meanwhile, Davis knocked out Frank Martin in June and got elevated to WBA Lightweight World Champion. He's set to return to the ring in November, but his opponent hasn't been announced yet.
