Daniel Dubois Reveals Surprising Pick for Fury-Usyk Rematch: "Nobody Expects This"

Daniel Dubois believes he's on track to face the winner of the Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury rematch. The British heavyweight is getting ready for his first IBF world title defence against Anthony Joshua.

Dubois has bounced back well after losing to Joe Joyce and Usyk. His last two fights have been the best of his career. In December, he stopped Jarrell Miller in the 10th round. Then in June, he beat Fillip Hrgovic when the fight was stopped due to cuts.

A year ago, Dubois got his first shot at a world title against Usyk. He gave it his all but couldn't beat the count after a right hand from Usyk in the ninth round.

In a recent chat with Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions, Dubois shared his thoughts on the upcoming Usyk-Fury rematch set for December. Usyk won their first fight in May to become the undisputed champion.

"I hope Fury does it, I hope Fury wins. Usyk's a good fighter though, yeah, we'll see. Usyk has definitely proven himself."

When asked about a possible rematch with Usyk if he beats Joshua, Dubois said:

"Maybe yeah, definitely, come through this one. One fight at a time though."

Many fans think Dubois will have a tough time against Joshua. But with Dubois' punching power, anything could happen in the ring.

Dubois' win over Miller last December showed he's still a force to be reckoned with. If he can get past Joshua, he'll be in a great position to challenge for the undisputed title, whether it's held by Usyk or Fury.
