Martin Bakole wants to fight Michael Hunter again. The Congo-born heavyweight boxer has his sights set on a rematch with the only man to beat him as a pro.

Bakole's stock went up after he stopped Jared Anderson in August. The win proved what many in boxing already knew - Bakole can hurt rivals in sparring and in real fights too.

Now fans want to see him back in the ring. A fight with Zhilei Zhang would be interesting and probably wouldn't go all the way. But Bakole has his eyes on Hunter.

Hunter beat Bakole back in 2018. He stopped him in the tenth round after Bakole hurt his shoulder in the eighth. Bakole says he'll do things differently this time.

In a recent interview with BOXXER, Bakole didn't hold back:

"That's not a fight, that's a war, because I will smash him from the first round until the tenth round. If I knock him out I'll tell him to stand up. Keep going. Revenge. And then I will knock him out, round ten."

Bakole plans to dominate Hunter for all ten rounds. He wants payback for his only loss.

But the rematch probably won't happen soon, if ever. Hunter hasn't done much at heavyweight lately. His recent wins don't stack up to Bakole's.

Bakole will likely get a big fight in Saudi Arabia next. Fans want to see him face Zhang. Either way, the self-branded danger man of the division is ready for war.
