Rising Welterweight Reveals Key Difference Between Crawford and Ennis: "His Power Is Unreal"

Freudis Rojas thinks Terence Crawford would beat Jaron Ennis if they ever fought. The undefeated prospect shared his thoughts in a recent interview with FightHype.

Rojas, who's won all 14 of his pro fights so far, has sparred with both Crawford and Ennis. This experience gives him a unique perspective on how the two fighters compare.

Crawford, now 36, has been making waves in the boxing world. He beat Errol Spence Jr to become the undisputed champion at 147 pounds, then moved up to 154. At super welterweight, he defeated WBA champion Israil Madrimov, earning a world title in his fourth weight class. Now, he's reportedly only interested in a fight against Canelo Alvarez.

On the other hand, Jaron 'Boots' Ennis is making his mark in the welterweight division. With 32 wins and 29 knockouts, he's called out Crawford several times.

Rojas shared his thoughts on both fighters:

"They are both tremendous fighters, they have two whole different styles but kind of both fight the same. Being in there first with 'Bud' then being in there with 'Ennis' two weeks later when I went down to Philly."

Despite their similarities, Rojas gives Crawford the edge:

"I always said to everybody that I think 'Bud' will take it because of the experience he has because when I'm in there and the rounds go by and he see's me touching him with one thing it's not going to again until the second round, he's always switching it up which causes me to think."

Rojas pointed out the experience gap between the two fighters:

"You can't compare Ennis to 'Bud', he's still newer to the game and i don't think he's fight as much at the top level as 'Bud' has but I just go off of experience but they both hit tremendously hard. 'Bud's body shots are crazy, they make you rethink life, like 'why am I doing boxing man'."

While both Crawford and Ennis pack a punch, Rojas believes Crawford's experience at the top level gives him the advantage. However, with Crawford's reported interest in a Canelo Alvarez fight, a matchup with Ennis seems unlikely for now.

Rojas, considered a future star himself, continues to climb the ranks in the boxing world. His insights, based on firsthand experience with both fighters, offer a unique perspective on this potential matchup.
