Chinese heavyweight veteran Zhang Zhilei has confirmed his desire for a rematch with interim WBO world champion Joseph Parker.
"Parker is definitely on my target list, it's one of the priority fights for me. I believe my managers and promoters will sit down and sort it all out. But whoever they put in front of me, I'm going to say yes.
My managers and promoters are working together, the bout with Parker is being discussed. Is Parker a priority opponent for the next fight? Yes, you could say that. I'm open to all options, all possible dates. September, October, November, December - I can prepare. If our teams find common ground, I'll get in the ring," said Zhilei in an interview with YouTube channel Boxing News.
Recall that in March, Parker defeated Zhilei by majority decision of the judges.
