Teddy Atlas thinks Gervonta Davis is the only boxer who can beat Shakur Stevenson. The legendary trainer turned analyst shared his view on a potential lightweight unification bout between the two champions.

Atlas believes Davis's complete skillset and current top form make him a unique threat to Stevenson. Davis holds the WBA lightweight title and has built a reputation as a knockout artist with power in both hands.

But Atlas sees more to Davis than just his punching power. He told Pro Box TV:

"Tank Davis. Tank Davis is the man. Right now he's in his prime, he can do everything. Forget about the fact he's the harder puncher and all of that, but he's also a terrific counter-puncher, sets traps, can use his legs when he has to, he's patient when he needs to be, deliberate, cerebral. Right now he's the complete package."

Stevenson, the WBC champion, is known for his highly skilled defensive style. He controls the range well, has fast hands, and follows the "hit and don't get hit" philosophy.

Atlas continued:

"He's probably the only guy I can think of beating Shakur Stevenson right now. Shakur Stevenson is that difficult because of his style, his ability, his eyes, legs, hand speed, the way that he controls range. Tank Davis is the only guy I can see that can possibly decipher Shakur Stevenson. That's how good he is. That's why he's the man."

A fight between Davis and Stevenson would bring together the top two fighters in the lightweight division. It's become more likely after IBF champion Vasiliy Lomachenko pulled out of negotiations to face Davis. This development might open the door for the unification clash Atlas is so excited about.
