Hunter cited the reason for Anderson's defeat of Bacolese

American super featherweight Michael Hunter believes that his compatriot and division rival Jared Anderson lost to Martin Bakola due to a faulty fight plan.

"This time I was on the side of the British. A lot of them knew about Bacol, A lot of Americans here didn't know or respect him. So a lot of people said Anderson would win. Everybody thought Anderson was going to outbox him, but I even told some of my friends that wasn't going to happen.

I think it really comes down to strategy. I think Anderson had the wrong plan for the fight. He fought like a super heavyweight and I think that hurt him. We're all big, but when you have that size, you only need one punch," Hunter said in an interview with YouTube channel Pro Boxing Fans.

Recall that on August 3, Bakole defeated Anderson by technical knockout in the fifth round.
