Jaime Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs) has signed with promotional organization Top Rank, while will continue to work with his longtime partners Mexican stable Zanfer Promotions.

Until now, his career was managed by Golden Boy Promotions and Zanfer Promotions, and Munguia fought on the streaming platform DAZN. He will now box on ESPN, although with the announcement of Top Rank's partnership with the Saudis, a return to DAZN is not out of the question.

The first show with the new promoter will take place on September 20 in Phoenix. Munguia's opponent will be undefeated Eric Bazinyan (32-0-1, 23 KOs).

This is not the only change in the Mexican's team. After two fights with Freddie Roach in his corner, Erik Morales will once again be the Mexican's head coach. The legendary champion of the lighter division has been training Munguia since 2019, except for the last two fights. Recall that Munguia is a former world champion in the first middleweight and middleweight divisions. In May, he lost on points to his great compatriot Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) and apparently decided to make some changes in his future career.
