Helwani on Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch: "I'm not ready to throw Tyson off my game yet"

Renowned MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has spoken out about the upcoming rematch between unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

"I think the first fight consisted of three parts. The beginning was left for Usyk, then Tyson won, and at the end again Usyk. Before that fight, I favored Alexander. He is faster and better as a boxer. I thought he would give Tyson a lot of problems.

Let's see what happens in the rematch. I think Tyson is one of the greatest fighters of all time. I think he's one of the best super heavyweights of this generation. I'm just wondering if certain fighters are miscalculating you. If Joshua fights Oleksandr Usyk ten times, Oleksandr Usyk will win most of those fights. I'm wondering if it will be the same with Usyk and Fury.

Tyson needs to be himself. He needs to be smart. Fury needs to use his arm span, his length, his boxing IQ and try to out calculate Usyk. Clearly, it's easier said than done. For now, I'm not ready to throw Tyson Fury off my radar. He's too good, too talented. He's had a great career to throw him off now," Helwani said.

Recall that the rematch of Usyk with Fury will take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
