Choukhajian: "Revisiting Ennis, looking for weaknesses we can latch on to"

Ukrainian welterweight Karen Chukhadjian (24-2, 13 KOs) has spoken out about a potential title fight against IBF titleholder American Jaron Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs).

- How would you rate Ennis's boxing in a fight against Avanesyan?

- Ennis' victory was quite expected. He outboxed his opponent in his style, I liked the fight.

- If he suddenly moves up to the next category to fight Crawford, would that mean you would be named champion or would a fight be scheduled against the nearest challenger?

- There will be a fight scheduled. Because of the fact that I'm the number one ranked fighter and not the interim champion

- Will it be more convenient to make a rematch with Hearn than before with another promoter?

- I don't know. But probably easier, because last time I didn't have the challenger status.

- How do you beat Ennis?

- With God's help. In fact, we're reviewing it, looking for weaknesses we can pick up on. We do it after the first fight.

Recall that Chukhajian and Ennis have already met in the ring. In early 2023, the American won by unanimous decision.
