Alvarez-Berlanga in October in Los Angeles?

Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) could return to the ring in October at one of the Riyadh Season boxing nights organized in Los Angeles. This was reported by Mike Coppinger, ESPN journalist. Negotiations are ongoing for the 33-year-old Mexican to sign a financial contract for two fights through Arab investors.

Canelo could face Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) in the first of those fights. The Puerto Rican is the official challenger for one of Alvarez's titles, who is the outright super middleweight champion of the world.

In the second fight of his agreement with Season Riyad, the Mexican could cross gloves with Terence Crawford, who is set to return to the ring in August. The American's bout is scheduled for the welterweight division.
