The WBC has no plans to penalize Garcia

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman responded to a question about whether the organization he leads plans to punish Ryan Garcia, who failed a doping test after defeating Devin Haney.

"We're absolutely not going to punish him. We want to help Ryan, he's a human being, he's suffering, going through difficulties. This is not a boxing issue, Ryan needs immediate support and attention right now. Champion, we are here with you," wrote Suleiman on social networks.

Recall, Garcia beat Haney by judge's decision, but yesterday the result of the fight was canceled, and Ryan himself was disqualified for a year.
