Former world champion Chris Algieri has commented on whether Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol deserve to be in the Boxing Hall of Fame.
"Right now, they're not worthy of it. But if their fight does take place, the winner will definitely be a contender. Bivol is closer, as he has a win over Saul Alvarez on his resume. Bivol is going undefeated, with many more fights ahead of him. Beterbiev is different. He's about to turn 40, it's hard for him to prepare for fights. If he beats Bivol, it will be a serious bid. But right now, they don't deserve a place in the International Hall of Fame. They haven't beaten other legendary fighters," ProBox quoted Algieri as saying.
