Former WBC heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder spoke out about Oleksandr Usyk's victory over Tyson Fury in a fight for the title of absolute champion of the division.
"I think it was a great fight. I took a wait-and-see stance, I didn't know who would emerge victorious. I always thought it was a matter of which dog and how he would bite in the fight. Alexander's bite was more powerful than Fury's.
I think Usyk was robbed in the ninth round, robbing him of a knockout. Fury was given a gift, but in the end Usyk won. Huge congratulations to him from me. I wish him only the best in the future," - said Wilder in an interview with YouTube channel Boxing News.
Recall, May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision of judges.
