Cassius Chaney is looking forward to getting back into the ring

Cassius Chaney is set to face Michael Hunter in a pivotal heavyweight bout at the Fists of Fury event on June 7. This match will take place at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Chaney enters the ring with a record of 23-1, boasting 16 knockouts. His most recent victory was against Trevor Bryan last November, marking a strong return following a 14-month break and a previous loss to George Arias in 2021. Chaney expressed enthusiasm about returning to action. He said, "My knockout over Trevor Bryan was so long ago, now I am just looking forward to getting back into the ring." He also mentioned his preparations have been robust: "I have grown a lot this past year, been boxing constantly and been around different fighters."

On facing Hunter, Chaney recognized the unique challenges he poses:

"Stylistically, Hunter is a much different matchup for me, so I am looking forward to that. My last win is behind me, so this is a whole new challenge, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Michael Hunter brings a record of 21-1-2 with 15 knockouts but has had mixed results recently, including two draws in his last six fights. Fatigue became evident during his recent draw with Jerry Forrest. One notable loss on his record came against Oleksandr Usyk during their cruiserweight bout in 2017.
