"What happened in my rematch with Volkanovski made people just shut up. People say I'm Khabib's protégé, but now I have the belt and the top spot in the P4P rankings. It used to be his time, but now it's mine," Makhachev said in an interview with UFC.
Recall that on June 1 at UFC 302 in Newark, USA, Makhachev will defend the belt against Dustin Puryear.
