Former world champion Amir Khan believes that in the fight Oleksandr Usyk against Tyson Fury, the judges could have given a draw.
"It was a close fight, a very close fight. Many people are saying that the fight should have been stopped after the knockdown, because Tyson missed a lot of punches in the ninth round. But he recovered quickly. I was thinking about how fast Fury recovered. He did it very quickly and started boxing again.
I believe he was winning rounds at the end of the fight. That shows what kind of fighter Tyson is. Even though he lost the fight, it was a close fight. In my opinion, it could have ended in a good draw, which would have made their second fight even bigger," Khan said in an interview with YouTube channel The Stomping Ground.
Recall that on May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision of judges (115-112, 114-113, 113-114) and became the absolute world champion in the heavyweight division.
