Makhachev: "Only a dumb man would refuse to fight McGregor"

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev said he is open to a fight with the promotion's former two-division titleholder Conor McGregor.

"Why not? Only a dumbass would turn down a fight against Conor. Of course I'll fight him. I can fight in August-September against McGregor. Easy. Conor's not the same, everybody knows that. Before, when he fought Khabib, he was in good shape. But now he drinks too much alcohol, too much whiskey," - said Makhachev in an interview with YouTube channel Pound4Pound.

Recall that on June 1, Makhachev will have to make a title defense against Dustin Puryear. The fight will be the main event of the UFC 302 tournament in Newark, USA.
