John Scully, trainer of WBC, WBO, IBF light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, has spoken out about the boxer's injury.
"I talked to guys who had the same injury and they say it's not that serious. They are confident that Artur will fight before the end of the year. When I joined the camp, he was already practicing with a bandage on his knee. I honestly didn't even ask what happened because he was training normally, looked good, everything was clear. There was no point in asking, but you see, it turned out to be more serious," - said the specialist.
Recall that on June 1, Beterbiev was scheduled to fight for the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division against Dmitry Bivol, but was injured and was forced to withdraw from the fight.
