Buatsi has an impressive record of 18 wins and 13 knockouts. His most recent fight took place in February at Wembley Arena, where he secured a victory on points over Dan Azeez. In light of the stalling talks with Yarde, Shalom stated that although hopeful, they are "looking at other opportunities now."

The stalled negotiations between Buatsi and Yarde might also influence Buatsi’s future decisions based on other key fights happening soon. Specifically, the unification bout on June 1 between Dmitrii Bivol, the WBA champion, and Artur Beterbiev, who holds the WBC, WBO, and IBF titles could be pivotal in deciding Buatsi's next steps.

Besides Buatsi's situation, the boxing scene is buzzing with upcoming events. On June 15 at Selhurst Park, Chris Billam-Smith will defend his WBO cruiserweight championship against Richard Riakporhe. Alongside this championship match, other fighters like Caroline Dubois are expected to enhance their careers. An announcement about Dubois’ involvement in the June 15 show is due next week.

Additionally, Lee Cutler is gearing up for potential action at Bournemouth International Centre on June 15. Ben Shalom remarked on Cutler’s growing popularity and potential for headlining future events: "I always thought when Chris retires, who’s going to sell out that BIC. And I think Lee can do it. I’d like to see him in a good fight [on June 15].”
