Bryan 'Latino' Acosta, a 25-year-old featherweight boxer with an unbeaten record of 20-0 and 8 KOs, recently signed a multi-year promotional contract with Sampson Boxing. Born in Hermosillo, Mexico and raised in the United States, Acosta turned professional in 2016.
Acosta's success includes winning the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Championship in May 2022 by knocking out Benito Sanchez Garcia in the 10th round. Another highlight of his career was an exhibition match knockout against Alberto 'Impacto' Melian on April 6th, though the result was unofficial due to regulatory issues.
Upon signing with promoter Sampson Lewkowicz's company, Bryan expressed his excitement about advancing his career under new guidance. "I knew that knocking out Melian would open doors for me, and now I’m signing with Sampson [Lewkowicz]. He will take me on the right path and get me the necessary fights to become world champion. I’m looking forward to continuing my march to the top, now with the right team at my side," said Acosta.
Sampson Lewkowicz also shared his enthusiasm about representing Acosta. "Bryan Acosta is a future world champion, with a fan-friendly style that audiences will love. I’m happy to be working with him and his team and look forward to helping this young man achieve his goal of becoming a world champion," remarked Lewkowicz.
Acosta’s trainer, Alfredo Caballero, voiced optimism about joining forces with Sampson Boxing. "I am very happy to work together with Sampson Boxing. I had waited for the opportunity, and I know that God's timing is perfect, and this is the right time to sign," stated Caballero.
