UFC CEO Dana White announced at a press conference following the 300th anniversary event that former two-weight champion Conor McGregor and current lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev will fight next at the June event.
McGregor will return to the octagon after a three-year layoff. In the main event of UFC 303, which takes place in Las Vegas on June 29, the star Irishman will fight Michael Chandler in the welterweight division.
Makhachev, as expected, will make his next defense of the belt against Dustin Porier on June 1 at the UFC 302 show in New Jersey, USA. It is also reported that former middleweight division leader Shawn Strickland will cross gloves with Paulo Costa in the co-main event.
