Stevenson calls for Tszyu to be given a rematch with Fundora

WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson has expressed his opinion that Tim Tszyu should get an immediate rematch with Sebastian Fundora.

On March 30, Tszyu lost to Fundora by split decision (116-112, 116-112, 113-115) and forfeited his WBO bantamweight title. The vacant WBC belt was also at stake in the encounter.

"Am I the only one who thinks Tim Tszyu deserves a rematch? The guy put everything on the line for the fans, they could have stopped the fight in the third and fourth rounds, but he kept the show on to give the fans a chance to enjoy the fight. A true champion just got unlucky that night!" - Stevenson wrote in X.
