Briedis to meet Deslaurier on the undercard of Usyk-Gassiev

Former cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis (23-1, 18 KOs) will have his next fight on July 21 in Moscow at the Olimpiyskiy Sport Complex in the undercard of the finale of the World Boxing Super Series between Alexander Usyk and Murat Gassiev. Briedis will face the Frenchman Brandon Deslaurier (11-1-1, 1 KOs). Briedis acts as a "substitute fight", that is, according to WBSS rules, he will be ready to come into the final fight if Usyk or Gassiev for any reasons, for example, because of injury, cannot take part in it.
