Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker analyzed the fight between the belt holder in the featherweight division Alexander Volkanovski and undefeated challenger Ilia Topuria, which will take place on February 17 at the UFC 298 tournament in Anaheim.
“It will be a great fight no matter what form Volkanovski comes in. Alex is experienced, one of the best in the world and probably the best champion in featherweight history. Topuria needs to be shown some respect. Do you understand what I mean?
Topuria will have a hard time if the old Volkanovski comes out against him. So it’s difficult to say anything before a fight. There is a lot of talk on Topuria’s side. It all seems a little funny,” Whittaker reflected on the MMArcade Podcast.
