Undefeated UFC middleweight Khamzat Chimaev told why in his childhood he was unable to practice his favorite form of martial arts - boxing.
“When I started training, I liked boxing most of all, but, unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to practice this sport. We didn’t have a coach in our village, but the neighboring one did. When I arrived there, I was thirteen years old at the time, they told me that I was already too old for this sport. Because if you want to achieve high results, you need to start earlier. Approximately how I started wrestling, at the age of 6. After 10, you’re already old for them,” MMA Mania quotes Chimaev.
Let us remind you that on October 21 at the UFC 294 tournament, Chimaev defeated former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman by majority decision.
