Jermell Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KOs) left the IBF super middleweight world title vacant. The American also refused to fight with Bakhram Murtazaliev (21-0, 15 KOs), who is the official contender for the International Boxing Federation belt.

A tender was scheduled for today to select the organizer of the Charlo-Murtazaliev fight, but the boxer from the USA informed the IBF that he was not interested in this fight and would not defend his championship title against a boxer from Russia.

In this situation, Murtazaliev and Jack Culcay will probably fight for the vacant belt. Recently, also due to non-participation in the mandatory defense of the title, Charlo lost his WBO championship belt.
