Tom Aspinall, the interim UFC heavyweight champion, spoke in detail about the injury he received while preparing for the fight with Pavlovich.
“I just wanted to do at least one serious sparring session before heading to the USA. And this happened in the fourth round. I felt a crazy spasm in my back, as if it was cramping. From that moment on, training became almost impossible. We didn’t have a training camp, there was only a short preparation period when I couldn’t do most things,” the fighter said.
Let us remind you that Aspinall accepted the fight with Pavlovich on short notice and, due to injury, practically did not prepare for it.
